The StripeMaster provides a track 1+2 or track 2 only, magnetic card reader. The magnetic card data is keyboard emulated. Simply connect the magnetic reader between your standard keyboard and the PC, and you are ready to read credit card data. The StripeMaster is 100% compatible with all PCs. The unit's integration into your system is simple. It does not require any special hardware or software driver knowledge, nor does it entail computer setup changes.

Changing the StripeMaster's Setup
The StripeMaster Magnetic Card Reader includes a built in setup feature which enables you to modify card data before sending it to the system. For example, you can add a header or a suffix to the data or read only a portion of the data. |

To access the setup menu using WINDOWS, Enter NOTEPAD and follow
instructions below:
1. Press the ESC key twice
2. Type jbmcr - setup menu will appear on screen
3. Select from main menu

To access the setup menu, do the following at DOS prompt:
1. Press the ESC key twice
2. Type jbdos - setup menu will appear on screen
3. Select from main menu

Installing the StripeMaster
- Switch off the computer
- Unplug the keyboard from the computer
- Connect the JBMCR Desk cable to the computer in place of the
keyboard cable
- Connect your keyboard to the appropriate cable on the JBMCR

The StripeMaster is supplied with rubber covered supports for the convenient, stableplacement of the magnetic card reader at the point of sale. In addition, two matching adhesive strips are also supplied in case firm attachment to a surface is required, such as in a vertical position. This allows removing the StripeMaster for maintenance and care, and returning it to its previous position. |
